Giving

We trust you enjoy the fellowship here at Elim Church Romsey. We are grateful for your regular giving which enables us to provide this. This is something we rely on. Thank you.

Why give?
Because God loves a cheerful giver.  2 Cor. 9 v 7.

Cash or cheque gifts

Please place cash or cheque gifts in the box on the wall by the church door. If you are not able to attend a service then these (in an envelope) can be posted through the letterbox at the front of the church.

Tithing

As a church we believe in the principle of giving a tithe of 10% to the Lord. This is based on bible principles such as:

Abraham gave Melchizedek the priest a tenth of everything (Genesis Ch14 v18-20). Jesus is a priest of the order of Melchizedek (Hebrews Ch7 v17) so we should follow Abrahams example and give a tenth to Jesus. When we tithe out of love for Jesus and gratitude that He gave His life to save us (not just because it’s a rule) then we are promised blessing. “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse …..” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it (Malachi Ch3 v10).

Please consider carefully and prayerfully if God is calling you to give a tithe.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our welcome team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. There will be around half an hour of singing with opportunity for church members to pray or read a passage from the bible. After the notices there will be a preach from one of the leaders at the Church with a chance to respond at the end of the service.

What happens to the kids at church?

LIMITLESS is the Elim brand name for all of our children's and youth work at our church. This is available for up to year 6, in the minor hall during the morning message.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them?
